The one thing your body needs more of after 30…

A number of clients doing seated bicep curls in a small group training session

From our 30s onwards, we naturally lose muscle. Around 3-8% in a decade, and this accelerates further after 40.

That muscle loss doesn’t just affect how we look. It impacts how we move, how strong we feel, and how much energy we have day to day.

Critically for weight loss the more muscle we have, the more calories we burn at rest.  Avoidable muscle loss in adults can result in you burning 100 less calories at rest in your 50’s versus in your 30’s.

The good news is that strength training is the only proven way to slow this process down and, in many cases, reverse it.

MORE MUSCLE MASS MEANS

Better mobility and balance

Stronger joints and posture

More energy

Higher quality of life as we age

More calories burnt

This is why strength training sits at the heart of the FASED approach.
